PinLoad is a solid competitor that performs well on the fundamentals. Like PinSave, it surfaces all available quality tiers and consistently found 1080p videos in our tests. It also works without a Pinterest account and runs over HTTPS.
Where PinLoad falls short is the ad experience. In roughly one-third of our test downloads, we encountered a redirect ad — a pop-up or new tab that opened before the download link appeared. Closing it and returning to the results page worked fine, but the interruption is annoying, particularly on mobile where the new tab is less easy to dismiss.
