Chrome Method (Easiest)

Google Chrome on Android handles file downloads cleanly — the video goes directly to your Downloads folder after a single tap.

Step 1

Copy the Pinterest pin URL

Open the Pinterest app or Chrome browser. Find the video you want. Tap the three dots (⋯) or Share button, then tap Copy Link. Make sure you have a pin URL that looks like: https://pinterest.com/pin/123456789/

Step 2

Open Chrome and go to PinSave

Open Google Chrome and navigate to pinsave.cc/en/. Tap the input box at the top of the page.

Step 3

Paste the URL and tap Download

Long-press the input box and tap Paste. Then tap the red Download button. PinSave will process the URL (usually takes 2–4 seconds) and show quality options.

Step 4

Tap ↓ Download HD

Tap the ↓ Download HD button (or whichever quality you prefer). Chrome will automatically start downloading the MP4 file. You'll see a download progress bar at the bottom of the Chrome app, and a notification in your notification bar when it completes.

That's it! On Android, you don't need to long-press or go through any extra steps. A single tap on the download button starts the download immediately.

Paste your Pinterest URL and download in seconds:

How to Find Your Downloaded Videos

After downloading, your video is in the Downloads folder. Here's how to find it on different Android devices:

On most Android phones (Google Pixel, OnePlus, etc.)

  1. Open the Files app (pre-installed on most Android phones).
  2. Tap Downloads in the left sidebar or bottom menu.
  3. Your Pinterest video will appear there — usually named something like V.mp4 or with a timestamp.

On Samsung Galaxy phones

  1. Open My Files (Samsung's built-in file manager).
  2. Tap Downloads.
  3. Find the .mp4 file you just downloaded.

From Chrome's download manager

You can also access downloads directly in Chrome: tap the three dots (⋮) menu in the top-right corner of Chrome, then tap Downloads. Your recent downloads appear there.

By default, downloaded files go to Downloads — not your Gallery/Photos. Here's how to move a video so it appears in your camera roll:

Using the Files app

  1. Open Files and navigate to Downloads.
  2. Long-press the video file to select it.
  3. Tap the Move button (or tap the three dots and choose Move).
  4. Navigate to DCIM > Camera (or any folder inside DCIM).
  5. Tap Move here. The video will now appear in your Gallery app.
Alternative: Open the video in your Files app, tap the share icon, and tap "Save to Gallery" or "Add to Photos" if your file manager supports it. On Samsung, you can tap "Move to Gallery" directly from My Files.

Firefox & Samsung Internet

PinSave works equally well in other Android browsers:

Firefox on Android

Open PinSave in Firefox, paste the URL, tap Download. When you tap the quality download button, Firefox will show a download notification at the bottom of the screen. The file goes to your Downloads folder — same as Chrome.

Samsung Internet

Samsung Internet has a dedicated download manager. After tapping the download button, Samsung Internet will ask you to confirm the download and choose a save location. Select Downloads and tap OK.

Avoid the Pinterest in-app browser: If you tap a link inside the Pinterest app, it opens in Pinterest's built-in browser which has limited download functionality. Always open PinSave in a separate browser app (Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet) for best results.

Troubleshooting

The download button doesn't do anything

Check that your browser has storage permission. Go to Settings > Apps > Chrome (or your browser) > Permissions > Files and media and make sure it's allowed. On newer Android (12+), downloads typically don't need explicit permission, but some custom Android skins may restrict it.

The download starts but fails immediately

Your storage may be full. Check available space in Settings > Storage. Pinterest HD videos can be 10–50 MB each.

PinSave says "Failed to fetch" or "Invalid URL"

Confirm you're pasting a direct pin URL (containing /pin/). URLs from boards, profiles, or search pages won't work. Also check your internet connection — PinSave needs to reach Pinterest's servers to fetch the video data.

Video is in Downloads but not in Gallery

Downloaded files don't automatically appear in your Gallery on Android. See the "Move Videos to Gallery" section above to move them manually.
