Supported Content

PinSave supports:
Videos — MP4 in HD (720p/1080p) and SD (480p/360p)
Images — JPG and PNG in original resolution
Animated GIFs — original .gif files with all frames intact
PinSave automatically detects the content type from the URL you paste.
Idea Pins have a different technical structure. Support is limited — PinSave may extract the first slide image or video, but not all slides at once. Check our Idea Pin download guide for workarounds.
No. PinSave can only download publicly accessible Pinterest content. Private pins and secret boards are not accessible to PinSave.
PinSave shows all quality options that Pinterest makes available for each pin — typically 1080p HD, 720p HD, 480p SD, and 360p SD. Not all pins have all quality options.

Safety & Privacy

Yes. PinSave does not store your Pinterest URLs, does not save downloaded files on our servers, and does not collect personal information. Download links point directly to Pinterest's own CDN — PinSave acts only as a link extractor.
No. PinSave downloads the original file directly from Pinterest with zero modification. There are no watermarks, no logos, and no overlays added.
Downloaded content remains subject to the original creator's copyright. Downloading for personal, offline viewing is generally acceptable. Redistributing or using content commercially without permission is not. Always respect copyright and creators' rights.

Troubleshooting

This usually happens when: (1) the pin is from a private account, (2) the Pinterest URL is incomplete, (3) the content type is not yet supported, or (4) Pinterest has temporarily changed their page structure. Try copying the URL again directly from the Pinterest pin page.
On desktop, right-click the ↓ Download button and choose "Save link as…" to force a file save. On mobile, long-press the download button and select "Download Linked File" (iPhone) or "Download link" (Android).
Try these steps: (1) Make sure you copied the full Pinterest URL including https://. (2) Try a different browser. (3) Disable ad blockers temporarily. (4) If the problem persists, contact us with the Pinterest URL.
