Why No Login Is Required

Pinterest is a public platform. The vast majority of pins — including all videos — are publicly accessible without a Pinterest account. If you can see a pin by visiting its URL in your browser, the video can be downloaded without any authentication.

PinSave works by reading the publicly available pin page and extracting the video file URLs that Pinterest embeds in its own code. Because this data is already public, no Pinterest login is involved at any point — not on PinSave's side, and not on yours.

No sign-up needed: PinSave itself also requires no registration. You just paste a URL and click Download. There is no account creation, no email verification, and no stored history of what you've downloaded.

Step-by-Step: Download Without an Account

The process takes under a minute and works the same way on every device:

Step 1

Find the Pinterest pin and copy its URL

Go to Pinterest (you don't need to log in — just visit pinterest.com in any browser). Find the pin with the video you want. Copy the URL from the address bar. It will look like pinterest.com/pin/123456789/ or a short pin.it/abc123 link.

Step 2

Go to PinSave

Open a new tab and go to pinsave.cc/en/. You'll see a single input field — no sign-in prompt, no pop-up, no CAPTCHA.

Step 3

Paste the URL and click Download

Paste the pin URL into the input field and click the red Download button. PinSave will retrieve the pin data within 2–3 seconds.

Step 4

Choose your quality and save

You'll see a thumbnail of the video alongside all available quality options (up to 1080p HD). Click the quality you want — the video file will download directly to your device. No redirect, no extra clicks.

By Device: iPhone, Android, PC, Mac

The core steps are the same everywhere, but where the file saves differs by device:

📱

iPhone / iPad

After tapping Download, iOS will prompt you to save the video. Tap Save to Files or Save to Photos. For camera roll, use the Files app to move it to Photos afterward. No Pinterest app or account needed.

🤖

Android

Tap Download on Chrome for Android. The file saves to your Downloads folder automatically. Open your Gallery app — on most Android devices, videos in Downloads appear there within seconds.

💻

Windows PC

Click the Download button. The MP4 file saves to your Downloads folder (or wherever your browser saves files). Right-click → Save As if you want to choose the location.

🍎

Mac

On Safari, click Download and the file will appear in your Downloads folder in Finder. On Chrome for Mac, behavior is identical to Windows — the file saves automatically.

How to Get the Pinterest URL Without Logging In

If you're browsing Pinterest without an account, here's how to get the pin URL in each situation:

On desktop (browser)

Simply look at the address bar when viewing a pin. The URL is already there. Click the address bar, press Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac) to select it all, then Ctrl+C / Cmd+C to copy.

From a shared link or social media

If someone shared a pin link with you (via message, email, or social media), that link is the Pinterest URL. It may be a full pinterest.com/pin/… URL or a short pin.it/… link — PinSave handles both formats.

On mobile without the Pinterest app

Open your mobile browser (Safari or Chrome) and go to pinterest.com. Browse to the pin you want. Tap the address bar to see and copy the URL. You don't need to install the Pinterest app at any point.

pin.it short links work fine: If someone shares a pin.it/abc123 link, just paste that directly into PinSave. It resolves automatically — no need to expand it first.

Can You Download Private Pins Without an Account?

No — and this is an important distinction. Private pins (pins saved to secret boards, or pins that require a Pinterest login to view) cannot be downloaded without authentication. If you visit the pin URL and see a "This content isn't available" message or get redirected to the Pinterest login page, the pin is private.

PinSave can only download what is publicly accessible. If a pin requires you to log in to Pinterest just to view it, PinSave cannot bypass that restriction — and no legitimate downloader can. The only way to access private content is to log into the account that owns it.

The good news: the overwhelming majority of Pinterest content is public. Recipe videos, home decor inspiration, tutorial clips, travel reels — virtually all of it is accessible without a Pinterest account.

Idea Pins (Story Pins): These use a different technical format and cannot currently be downloaded by any tool, regardless of whether you have a Pinterest account. This is a Pinterest platform limitation, not an account requirement.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. PinSave works without any Pinterest account or login. You only need the public URL of the Pinterest pin. The tool fetches publicly available data — no authentication is required on your side or PinSave's side.
Yes. PinSave is a web tool that works in any browser — Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge. You don't need the Pinterest app installed. Just open your browser, go to pinsave.cc/en/, paste the pin URL, and download.
Pinterest can see that its pin pages were accessed (standard web traffic), but it does not notify pin creators when someone downloads their video. There is no "download notification" feature on Pinterest. PinSave never touches your Pinterest account — there is nothing to log in with.
Yes. PinSave has no user accounts at all. There is no sign-up, no email, and no registration. You use the tool anonymously — just paste a URL and download.
The most common reasons are: (1) The pin is private — you'd see a login prompt or "content unavailable" message when visiting it. (2) The pin is an Idea Pin, which no downloader supports. (3) The pin is an image, not a video — in that case PinSave will download the image instead. If none of these apply, try copying the URL again to make sure it's the full pin URL.
Yes — using PinSave without a Pinterest account is actually safer than tools that ask you to log in with your Pinterest credentials. PinSave never asks for your Pinterest username or password. It only needs the public pin URL, which contains no personal information.
